Canopy by Hilton – Dallas
We were excited to play a part in the US launch of Hilton’s new brand, Canopy by Hilton. Developers Javelin Group and architects WDG brought us on to develop the signage program for the 150-key boutique hotel. Our scope included exterior, interior and parking garage signage.
The interior design by DLR Group uses a theme of the McKinney Avenue Streetcar which runs on tracks just outside the hotel lobby.
Interior signage references the light wood tones and accents used throughout the hotel. Lettering and symbols are routed out of a front plate to give the signs a sophisticated industrial quality.
The parking garage below the guest rooms serves hotel staff and valet parking as well as public guests visiting restaurants and retailers housed on the ground floor of the mixed use building. The graphics and signage are purposely neutral and separate from the hotel branding.
Large scale vinyl graphics were applied at the two elevator lobbies.
